I am 43 years old and had been wearing corrective lenses for nearsightedness since the age of 16.  I am an attorney by profession and I am also very active in many sports including water and snow skiing, squash and tennis.  Over the years, my nearsightedness grew progressively worse.  Nevertheless, I had always had a pretty easy time with daily wear contact lenses. Because of the fact that I felt that I really didn’t need LASIK and didn’t have much trouble with my lenses, I considered myself to have been a pretty tough patient to please.  Dr. Edmiston and his staff succeeded.  

My experience was excellent.  The procedure, risks and benefits were fully explained and all pre and post operative appointments were prompt and efficient.  The surgery took about an hour and the results were, as far as I am concerned, perfect.  My vision is 20/20 or better in both eyes.  I have experienced none of the “side effects” rumored to result from the procedure like blurry night vision, dry eyes or the need for reading glasses.  Without hesitation, I recommend Dr. Edmiston and his staff if you are considering laser corrective surgery.

LASIK is definitely quite the experience !! Especially for someone like me who at 45 years old has worn glasses since the age of 5. At that age I was too young to remember what it was really like to be able to wake up and "SEE THE WORLD". But now I can !! The best part about the procedure was the quickness of it all. Throughout all of my appointments and my procedure, your staff has been outstanding! They always made me feel very comfortable and at ease with it all. The thought of having surgery on your eyes is a bit scary. I mean this is your eyes we are talking about.

But between you, your staff, and the informative packets you gave me, I had made up my mind to do this. And when you told me that first day that I was definitely a candidate for LASIK surgery, I jumped around like a little girl going to Disneyland for the first time. And words cannot express the feeling I had when I woke up the morning after the surgery, when I opened my eyes and could actually SEE the pictures of my children that are on the wall. And then later on that morning when I got in my car and drove for the first time in my life without having to wear contacts or glasses. So I thank you very much for giving me my sight back. It has been almost three weeks since I have visited Lasik of Sacramento and had my eyes done…and I am so surprised at how shocked I am see, that well, I can see really good…and… without glasses…or contacts! I CAN SEE REALLY GOOD!  Do you know how unbelieveable this is, after 40 years of not seeing so great?  I am so overwhelmed with such wonderful feelings within. Feelings that you will never ever be able to completely describe. I had Lasik surgery in Jaunary 2001 - I walked out of the office in goggles but still could see better than I had in over 40 years.

Aside from the fact that the surgery changed my life - was VERY pleased at the customer service FOLLOW-through with your staff; they never missed a beat in calling-even a year later to check up on me!!!

I had heistations when I entered your ofice for the first time; reminded me of a scene from "Back to The Future"...(with your white hair and all-sorry), but in some small way it made me feel even more assured in my decision to have the surgery-DONE BY YOU!

Hi David, my experience was great. I found that the procedure was amazingly quick. The staff were absolutely wonderful, warm and friendly. I felt pampered. After the procedure, I went home early and went to bed early. I woke up feeling refreshed. That morning for the first time in 35 years I was able to drive to work without my glasses. It was a new found freedom!
